Problem with intel uhd graphics

i am having this problem when i use the simulator. my monitor sizzles, and I think the integrated uhd card has problems. i reverted the OEM drivers but to no avail

If it’s making a sizzling sound, then its likely to be electrical. Check the cables are pushed fully home and aren’t damaged. I did have an OLED LG monitor that sizzled and the panel died, so they replaced it under warranty. its unlikely to be the onboard graphics card.

Also check you aren’t driving the monitor beyond its maximum resolution and refresh rate. Let us know how you get on.

it does not emit any noise, it is the notebook monitor that does so, not the secondary monitor where I have no problems

What is the refresh rate and resolution on each monitor, for example, for the notebook monitor and also for the external monitor?

It could be that the settings for the external monitor are also applying to the notebook monitor, but the notebook monitor does not support the same settings.

where I can take these information?

Thanks for the information. Could you try changing the 144 value to 60 to see if this improves?

what happend with your nvidia geforce 3060 ? :joy:

Have in mind that the intel internal gpu is far below the minimum spec , on other side seems 144fps a bit high an can cause these flicker, as @XR219 mentioned. May be you can share which laptop model this is.

I’ll try and let you know

hmmm… I can not see which display this laptop has build in, but its a newer one and may be it can handle the 144 ( the display, not intels internal gpu ). Try 60 is still worth…

But the the questions for me still exists:

  • why you play then with the intels internal gpu ?
  • can you play the game with the 3060 , which is in spec to play that game ?

I try with 60hz , but with out results

yes, I m playing with geoforce rtx because I launch the game by GEOFORCE NVIDA EXPERIENCE

i tried with 60 hz without external monitor, and no good news…
What I can try again?

ah… so you not mean necessarly the “Intel Internal GPU” ( these card build into the processor ).

To be sure:
does the flickering also happens on the Windows desktop ( no game running ) ?
If so, and because you mentioned that these flickers not happens on the second monitor, then it can also be a defect.

A defect of what?
I have to restore all the pc? What do you think?

the situation is not clear enough to be sure. But in case the second display works fine, may be the laptop display can be defective. But, it is also possible that the RAM is affected because internal gpu work with that. But there are just some points not clear. In case you play the game definitly with the 3060 , the internal gpu should not used - so no RAM issue, but you get the issue. But on desk is normaly the internal gpu used and you get the flickers too - which again points to display.

You can try to reset all possible settings related to the 3060 and also the intels card and hope that it will help. A pc restore would be last chance , and in case this will not help there is a defect.

May be some other users have additional ideas…

And I forgot… sometime also the intel gpu drivers cause strange issues. May in case you have updated somewhat here…

I can say that from an update of intel , 7 febraruy, I have notice this problem.
Is very strange
I can restore all and, of lust chance, open an RMA to the productor

an update…

hmmm… this can cause that… it would be better situation than a defective display

But then may be you need to reinstall the drivers from manufactor page, if there are any. A restore should at least fix the issue, but you have to install all again :grimacing:

You can also run “check tools” , like e.g. the “windows memory check” ( just in case it is RAM related ).

I know but I can, before open RMA , is the last action to do.
I try to restore the OEM driver but I think that some DLL was broken
