That is insane! I thought I was mad when the game crashed my cesna that they let you buy for 45k in the very beginning of the owning your own company saga. I gave up on the company stuff right there and sold the plane in order to obtain my airline pilot cert, hoping that I could make more money that way and there would be less bugs… I should have known better. This game has so much ■■■■ potential, its heart breaking.

Ive even bound a button to push back so I can try and do a 3 point turn on the small runways.

Fingers crossed man. For now, I am going to just shift to unlocking more stuff I guess. Some of the missions are at least doable. But I am going to hold off on the long haul stuff or airline stuff until they sort it out. The next most frustrating thing other than losing your aircraft to a bogus crash is spending the time and effort to configure a solid flight plan and input everything only to fail when skipping to takeoff or worse fail after a 7 hr flight!

If Asobo releases a fix it just overwrites the values itself, like it does with most user config files now.

That’s possible,but doesn’t change the fact that we as purchasers shouldn’t have to mess around like this.We paid for a product that works correctly as advertised,where is it?..
I’m pretty sure Microsoft has been pushing Asobo for the release date,if their previous software releases are anything to go by.Windows ME and Windows 8 spring to mind.Its a shame that Asobo couldn’t do this sim indepedently,I bet it wouldn’t be half as buggy…

Of course they are,me for one.Not that I care that much with all of the other bugs to contend with.I’m reduced to only poking it with a stick when I’m feeling particularly masochistic,I boycott it most of the time and use 2020,most annoying for me is the awful rendition of the Tobii interface and the Jimi Hendrix wah wah effect on all sounds.My original prediction of the release date was pretty close and I along with others would have thought august 2025 would have been a better prospect,so we shouldn’t be surprised at this mess…

It is unbelievable that they pulled the trigger on this game in this state. It clearly shows they do not care about their customers. No reasonable person would say, lets go and send it out. The customers will not care:

No settings saved for live weather, they will happily click on it again. Do customers want to change planes? No problems, let them click again on live weather.

No liveries saved from last time. No problem, let them configure plane livery every time they change planes. They will enjoy it.

No controls saved state after confguring the controls. No problem, let the them always change the controls every time they fly a plane, they sure will enjoy clicking on their preset every time, even if they have not shut down the sim.

Planes with obvious problems? Who cares, all they want is hot air balloons and Jetson One, better that way, less time to spend on making authentic systems.

Paying premium for planes that are barely modeled? Sure, rake in the 200 bucks, no need to feel any pride or responsibility for this. They have career mode right? That is what they always wanted. So they can fly with purpose.

Just did a flight to Aspen in the visionjet. Doing 4x simrate, which was probably unwise of me since already at the sim startup I got a low bandwith warning from the game. The servers are undertuned, so whenever there is a surge of players, we are all kinda ■■■■■■. Landscape became a messy blur as I flew along, and by the time I arrived on my final approach only the tile with the airport was showing somewhat properly. Anyway, so after landing I noticed that my parking spot was all the way on the other side of the airport. To save myself some time I made the mistake of Alt N to parking. After 20 minutes the game went from a black loading screen to show a couple of workers on the ramp. No airplane, no menu, no escape possible. After another 20 minutes, I alt F4 out of the game as I realized there was no rescuing it.
The first thing they need to do is to increase the server capacity to allow for peak time amount of players. Then they need to fix the bugs. And then they can start adding new features.
Sometimes, when I try to do a mission, like right now trying to do a heavy VIP mission in a 737max on the western coast of the US, I enter the cockpit and I get extremely poor framerates. Like 1 frame every 5 seconds. I dont know when it hits or not.
Looks like I have temporarily solved my problem.
My problem was coming in fact from my headphones connected to my controller.
I’ve connected my headphone on my screen instead and the bug has stopped.
I will try with an other controller later if it does the same thing. I was using a plug-in Gamesir G7 with HyperX headphones for reference.
