Flying south on South Island on auto pilot. (Strait and Level) Decided to clime to FL 5000 from FL 3000 at 500 feet per minute (well with in the specifications for the plane). Game crashes saying I was “overtaxing the airplane”. Single person (Me) on board. Not the first time this has happened in various places. Suggestions welcomed.
Does it crash with a lower climb rate?
Did not get a chance to try it since it crashed and I was done with FS2020 for the day. I will try it today.
What altitude did you actually tried to climb to? FL5000 = 500.000ft
5000 feet.
And the actual message was ‘overtaxing’?`
Yes…that was the message.
Never heard or read about this message. As an interim solution you can disable crashes.
I routinely fly the 208 at 1000’/min up to 8000’ and then drop it down to 800-900’/min and it does fine, so it’s more than capable of what you’re doing. Might want to go into content manager and delete the 208 and redownload it to see if that fixes the problem. Also, could be an issue with an addon if you’ve got any. Might consider moving community folder somewhere else temporarily and see if that fixes the issue, and then repopulate the community folder one-by-one until you find what’s causing the issue (if this is even applicable).
Regards
Nothing in my community folder and I have no add ons. Thanks for your suggestions.
Pilot error. Watch your IAS.
No error. Speed was perfect as was the climb rate. It just “crashed”. I am not the only one with problems with the Caravan see Mooney M20R keeps overstressing, ending the flight.
