Problems with aircraft positioning

MSFS always positions the aircraft on the runway. Is there a way to avoid that systematically? Mostly I don’t succeed in placing the plane at a gate or parking from the dropdown list after loading a Simbrief flightplan. After strongly zooming in on the world map (which have to perform due to the big label of the airport) and clicking on a parking spot as starting point the start indication still remains RUNWAY and changes only after many attempts. Am I doing something wrong?

This seems to be A Thing if you have a SID loaded.
Have a look at my post here, et seq.

I followed the advice given and it seems to work.

Thanks. I’ll give it a try.
So stupid it is built that way.

Or you can load the simbrief plan first. Then use the dropdown to move your initial starting position without replacing the flight plan.

Well, that’s the problem with me. Every time I click on a parking position in the dropdown list after loading the FP, the indication remains showing the runway…

Ohh that always happen for a while now, The indication will still show the runway when you select the parking/gate. But you should still see the flight plan line on the map to come from the parking itself before pointing towards the runway. You can just click Fly Now and you should start at the parking/gate.

Oh yes. I was always afraid to start the World set up again, but indeed, one stands at the parking/gate.
Thx for mentioning.
