Procedure for installing Sound Mods

Good afternoon, Everyone
I don’t make many posts in the forum, so bear with me if I am in the wrong category. I am wondering if anyone else is having problems installing AreZone Sound Mods. I have the Cessna 337 SkyMaster, the Beech Seminole & The Mooney V20r. I had no problem getting the SkyMaster to work, and it sounds pretty good. Now on the Seminole & Mooney not so good. I have worked on them for probably 6-8 hours to no avail. I installed them just like the SkyMaster, but the first time install no sound. So I double-check was the same, and now either no sound or no aircraft in the Hanger. I finally had to delete them both and reinstall them to default settings.
Any help would be greatly apricated

I recently purchased the PA44 sound mod and cant get it to work. The plane disappears and running the sim in admin didnt change anything and when the plane was selectable it had no sounds and hung the sim on closeout. The thing I noticed that was different is that all msfs planes have a sound pack file instead of waves. Wondering if the sim is wanting to unpack a file but cant find one and doesnt lound sounds into memory.

Good morning, Atafar

The same problem, but I wonder why the SkyMaster works and the others don’t. I know I spent a lot of time trying to get them to work. Maybe someone has a magic bullet that will fix them. I know the support group want, I emailed them 3 times no return

Thanks for your input

The PA44 sound author sent me a json file to try. Unfortunately, it didn’t seem to make a difference. He assures me that he can solve the issue. If we figure it out, I’ll try to share the solution here. I am surprised that not more people develop sound addons for the planes but know that getting access to a plane can be very difficult. Sound is the other half of the experience.

I realize that it’s not their product, but would have thought that someone from MS or Asobo would try to provide some assistance. At least with very basic must do instructions.

Thank you, Atafar

I am sure things will work out, just got to get the word out so the right people will know you have a problem. Flight Sim has been my hobby for the past 20 + years. I am a real pilot or was back in the day. Technology has came a long way.
Well have a good night or day whichever fits :slightly_smiling_face:

Same problem here with the newly released sound for the Piper Arrow lll …
Such a shame.

PROBLEM SOLVED: After installing Arezone new soundset, just copy MSFSlayoutGenerator.exe
into aircraft rootfolder: Community / “name of aircraft” and execute the generator. It will then modify
aircraft own jayson file to accept the new soundfile. (Disregard the json that came with arezone soundset)

Workes perfectly for me and my JF Pa28 lll The sound was great

Happy Days

I have the same problem with the Beechcraft V35B. I have installed the sound pack following the “very short” instructions provided within the installer and the aircraft disapeared of the hangar. I have written support, but no answer yet. Where can I get the MSFSlayoutGenerator.exe? Thanks

Regards!

having same issue. hope someone helps out here.

Hi, Mark
I hope you have better luck than me, I have been waiting over a month. I haven’t gotten get a fix from anyone.
I even used a JSON file organizer program, still nothing.
What gets me Areozone is selling these add on sound packages every day. Someone is getting them to work

Good luck,
If you hear about a fix, please let me know

fixed it myself!! dived into the JSON file line by line and there are about 60 lines dedicaded to sound. The file JSON file is directing to look in a directory for a Carnedo V35. I copied those lines to MS Word, changed the path to “BRsimDesigns_H35” and all worked well!

what i wrote to AREZone… You have the path as “SimObjects/Airplanes/MSCarenado_V35_Bonanza /sound” when it should be “SimObjects/Airplanes/BRsimDesigns_H35 /sound/”
