So after doing medium cargo haul with freelance in a C208, what is the next progression? From doing some searching online, I understand that several aspects of the path from C208 and onwards isn’t working. IE. heavy cargo missions in freelancer isn’t operational, and several aircraft don’t work in the sense that they dont spawn missions.
So is the C208 the pinnacle of Career mode at the moment, or is there more to do (to earn money)?
I would say that the pc-12 or pc-24 is the pinnacle. I have the pc-12 and it is wonders smoother than the caravan. It brings the same money, but its faster and just nicer to fly.
Some people had success doing passenger transport with the Boeing 737, altough you really need to look up all the tips and tricks for that as you can end up with 40mil damages for skipping to taxi for example.
As of now, there is no medium vip or heavy cargo to leap or sidestep from the medium cargo. So the only step remaining is the 737. I personally wait for the heavy cargo to be introduced.

Do we have any indications on when they will introduce heavy cargo?
And do you simply fly the PC-24 until you have the X millions for the 737? And is the 737 vip or cargo?
The 737 is passenger airline, not vip or cargo.
Sadly I don’t know when they will fix the heavy cargo mission spawn, I hope in the January update they will. The only aircraft for heavy cargo is in deluxe edition (the Saab 340, and it also has some bugs), so keep that also in mind.
I also really wait to fly the Heart Aerospace ES-30, but sadly its unusable at the moment in career.
I personally built up a fleet of small GA aircraft to generate passive income, so thats something to think about. It will help you accumulate large amounts of money purely by flight hours, even if you fly low paying missions. A used 737 is about 40 mill, and thats needing quite some fixing before you can fly it, so it does require a lot of capital.

At present there is no indication from Microsoft or Asobo when and if anything is going to be fixed with Career mode. It has been dead silent. We are all going to have to sit back and wait. I hope they get working on this sooner rather than later only time will tell.

172 light cargo
Vision jet vip
Grand caravan medium cargo
Pc12/24 medium cargo
737 max used
Repair critical items after each flight.
I flew medium cargo, built up a passive fleet of 65 airplanes, then bought the 737 new. Now I can do a long haul 737 flight, about 4 hours IRL (2x sim rate), clear 22mil on the flight and about another 8mil in passive

I am having hundreds of GA aircraft and relying on passive income to accumulate assets. Long medium cargo missions with 1/16x sim rate for ~15 hours a day. At midnight I do maintenance and use the remaining credits to buy new aircraft. The size of the fleet goes 20% larger per day. Just waiting for the Beluga or the marketplace to be online. Do not want 737 as crashed by bug earlier.
I have been flying the C408 SkyCouier for medium cargo.
Quite fun and it stops on a dime with full reverse thrust.
AP works great in cruise but I have been having trouble with it following the rnav and visual glide paths when landing.
