Idea:
Now testers can’t compare official differences between previous releases and current, + discussion about things, which are covered by NDA regulations
For MS:
Internal discussion, about new features and just comparing opinions (eg. casual player, testers, pilots, etc. )
Communication channel (If MS have plans about future phase of tests)
New features
New builds
Well testes build → less stress for devs and management
Another bypass:
update NDA (lift) / decrease restrictiveness
The problem is this: why create a dedicated section for testers to talk about an OBSELETE OLD BUILD.
This is probably what they - MSFS - think (a conceptual approach).
Practically, as us testers know, there may or may not be some things still worth discussing from the previous builds going forward.
EDIT: that being said, we are no longer testers. There are currently 0 public MSFS testers. We WERE testers. They will not make a section for EX testers for an OLD build.
Then, if we are no longer testers, how can we still be bound by the NDA !!
Testers feel that they have an investment in the sim (I certainly do) and care deeply about it.
It’s just frustrating because we have such a wealth of acquired knowledge and sometimes we need to refer back and the NDA prevents us from doing so in a public forum.
We all really want to see the Sim succeed ! And to see so many things crop up that we’ve known about for months, is very frustrating.
My strategy now is to keep saying to people Zendesk Zendesk Zendesk.
People mistakingly think that just discussing it here is enough to prompt the devs into fixing it.
