Props Windmill

Sitting on the ground at Hamilton Island, Australia (YBHM) the props in C172, SR22 & C208 all windmill, quite fast, when the engines are stopped. In this case the wind was about 30kt, either on the nose or from the tail. That’s the first time I’ve noticed it. The props can’t be stopped at shut down.

Are we talking about real life or in sim?

In real life, on the C208 I have no problem imagining this (PT-6 engine), I have never seen any prop windmilling on ground on a piston engine though, and I have operated them in strong winds (max. 45 kts were our limits), we always park the aircraft with the nose in the wind in such situation, but never seen a windmilling prop.

In MSFS. I’ve seen turbo props windmill in RL too. I did not test any aircraft, only those listed above.

Nice find, that must be a bug :bug:
