PS5 other local user can't see deluxe aircraft

Hi, I have the PS5 deluxe edition of MSFS2024 installed. I can access the additional aircraft on my account but when my son logs in on the same console he cannot see them. I do have sharing setup on the system. He can see the “preorder” and “deluxe” as usable under “manage game content” in his account, but under the marketplace my library there is nothing to download or see beyond the base content. Other games work fine. Any thoughts on this? Thank you in advance.

Hello,
That’s normal (well, not really!).

We have the same problem on XBOX (and also on PC) and it’s not new: it was already the case five years ago with FS2020. Unfortunately, FS2024 applies the same deplorable philosophy that has been noticed, reported and even denounced by several players, on XBOX (who are generally less “personal” than PC players).

The problem is that the game uses an internal marketplace, and purchased items aren’t treated as DLC (unlike other games, such as Sims4).

When you buy an item (planes, scenarios) from the marketplace, only the main user has access to it!

The Deluxe, Premium, etc. versions are not actually standalone products. In reality, whatever version you buy, it will always be the base version… to which they add packs (Deluxe, Premium) containing additional aircraft and airports.

So, it’s as if you were buying the aircraft/airports from the pack individually. Therefore, everything added in these packs is inaccessible to a “familly” account, even though that account can launch the game.

Your wife or children, even if they have a separate account/profile, will therefore only ever have access to the base version.

Okay, thank you for the clarification. My only hope was that he sees the deluxe as usable under his account. I really appreciate your time and response.
