Well, I don’t know why but it happened to me twice. In the best situation, after a while your purchase will be automatically ready for download. In the worst, after 72hrs I had to contact Microsoft support who manually resolved the thing. In my case the payment was successful but the download process never started. I usually use Paypal so I can see immediately and in the hours later what’s the situation with the payment in real time.
As you have the Steam version as me, the payment process is straightforward and easy. You press pay and download, a Steam windows opens which confirms exactly the amount needed for your purchased.
