I have the Thrustmaster Airbus sidestick. I’d like to know does anyone use an alternative quadrant with it other than the slow to be available Airbus quadrant. Or, if they recommend another one. Thanks.
If you’re a GA single engine flyer like me, I bought the Logitech G Throttle Quadrant, has all three levers (power, rpm, mix) and 12 buttons counting the lever detent positions. Well built, doesn’t occupy much space, immediately recognized by the sim, easily remapped. Been having tons of fun with it, I actually disabled the throttle to the TCA until I figure out a use for it.
If you’re planning to use to fly the A320, you can easily swap the heads to reflect two power levers and find a use for the third, or disable it. I don’t fly the jetliners myself.
No sensitivity mapping required. Idle is idle at the bottom of the lever travel path at least on the GA planes.
Thanks so much. I’ll look into it.
I would recommend the VirtualFly TQ6+. All metal construction, but has no buttons.
