Quest 3 Challenges...CTD's etc

Firstly, a huge thank you to the guys that helped me out in my original query.
I managed to at least get it going, with reasonably acceptable graphics.
That’s when the gremlins appeared.
I have a 9800x3d, RTX4080 Super 16GB RAM, 64GB System RAM. Using a 4K TV as a Monitor.
I installed Virtual Desktop plus Streamer.
Problems I am experiencing.
This occurs whether I use Virtual Desktop or Oculus Desktop.
Headset drops out after a period of time…say 30 minutes… If I change a setting or two, and then go back into VR, I get a message that the Headset is not connected, despite the Link saying it is…it would appear that the Pairing has dropped out.
I also have a constant message that the Audio does not function…yet it does.
I then do a factory reset, and things work fine again for a short time … then when again, after a short while, setting it to VR mode, bang, Message…“No Headset is detected”.
I first thought that the Oculus Cable was faulty, so tried Airlink…same problem…“No Headset detected.”
So another Factory Reset is applied…and so on and so forth.
Hopefully I have explained this in a coherent manner.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Please note, I am on the wrong side of 70, and have just undergone 8 months of Chemo…the old brain has stalled a tad. :upside_down_face:

MSFS 2020 or 2024? I’d be tempted to stick to one method of VR and uninstall everything else, eg go with Virtual Desktop and get rid of Oculus Link.

If going the wireless route you need to know your network is up to it. Many folks run a dedicated access point just for VD but I’ve not needed that, although I am using WiFi 6 but only at 5Ghz.

I’d also play something on the Quest itself (take PC VR out of the equation) and just be sure there’s no problems there first.

I’ve been having a lash at both….but I see your point. Cheers

I still can’t work out why the headset suddenly “can’t be found”, yet is still Linked and shows being connected….unless it’s a MSFS problem.
I haven’t a clue how to Pair it again, except by doing a Factory Reset…which is time consuming, and a pain in the rear end.
