Quest virtual desktop

I have VD setup and other games work fine launching them from the VD menu.

If i try launching MSFS2020 from the vd menu it freezes up and doesnt work. Launching from within game says “headset not detected”

I installed openxr, i put “C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-runtime\oculus_openxr_64.json” as the path. Oculus link works. Whats the problem

Hi, if this occured after you installed openxr then you should select the steam runtime when you use Virtual Desktop, thats the only “fix” that worked for me

i see
whats the path i need to enter in the registry to use the steam runtime

edit: i think its this: “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SteamVR\steamxr_win64.json”

will try and see.

Its just in Steam VR Settings, bottom row “Developer”, select “SteamVR” for the “Current OpenXR Rutime”

ok i finally got it to work

you have to load the game pancake, then in VD you have to open the vd menu and enter steam vr, then while in the black void hit ctrl+tab.

Now does anyone know how to do audio mirroring? I have a very good sound system/subwoofer and would like to have the sound come from both the computer speakers and the headset but cant figure out how to do this on either oculus link or VD. I’ve tried clicking the “Hear vr audio from computer” in the oculus app but it doesnt seem to do anything. unclicking the VD streamer option “mute computer speakers” doesn’t do anything either

i assume you have a quest 1 ?
