Regarding the in-game tutorial for the above, it talks through ‘fly by wire’ with auto throttle on, and a green circle is on the display (Attitude indicator I believe) to guide you for the pitch as you fly towards the runway.
I don’t have any mods installed but have heard about the ‘fly by wire’ open source project. Which makes it a bit more confusing.
So, I’m wondering how do you actually enable this and use it? Because the tutorial doesn’t talk about the setup and I don’t think I have missed anything. The only other tutorial for airliners is take off.
Or is it literally just adding these extras in like the green circle for the tutorial only?
Most likely only in the tutorial. Youtube is a great resource for learning too. The FlyByWire is a great aircraft and has a good following. Real airbus pilots have flown and tested it and have done many videos also. Here is FBW’s link. (10) FlyByWire Simulations - YouTube
It is a bit confusing. FlyByWire (FBW) are the developers of a more sophisticated version of the A320 neo.
But fly-by-wire is also a technology used in every A320. It basically means that steering inputs are conveyed digitally to the rudders, aileron and so in, and there is no real physical connection.
So what the game is talking about has nothing to do with the optional FBW addon 320.
