Question about FBW A320 vs Default A320, speed brakes and autothrottle

Hi. With the default A320, if I set a selected speed, say I set the selected speed to 145 knots, it won’t be long until I reach 145 knots. I rarely have to use the speed brakes as the system will keep me at 145 knots quite easily. If I do use the speed brakes though on the default A320, the altitude can drop rather abruptly and drastically.

With the FBW A320, if I set the selected speed to 145 knots, it will take a while until the speed drops down to 145 knots. Sometimes, to get it down to 145 knots more quickly, I am forced to use the speed brakes (on the default A320, I rarely have to use the speed brakes to get the speed down to the selected speed). And when I use the speed brakes on the FBW A320, I don’t have that drastic drop in altitude that I do on the default A320.

With respect to the behavior of the speed brakes and the autothrottle, is the FBW A320 performing more accurately compared to how the A320 performs in real life?

That’s what I heard… Otherwise, real A320 pilots and engineers who are involved in the FBW team would have pointed that out and fixed it.
