Ah 7000 is the Uk VFR, that’s right. I didn’t realize the emergency codes were the same the world over. And that’s interesting about the transponder thing as well. I’d bet there are still more GA planes with the older transponders than the digital ones. Makes sense! But also increases the likelihood of accidentally putting in one of the emergency squawks.
