Question about usernames ..How do you put a username in your post with the blue color?

Hi there, How do you put a username and make it blue color in your posts instead of using the @ symbol? I have seen it a couple of times and was just wondering , How you would go about it? Any help is greatly appreciated. TIA.

Hi @TheTwister7156.

If you use the @username as I did above it generates a notification, which is usually ideal if you want to get someone’s attention. If you simply want to reply to someone’s post you can click the “Reply to Post” button under their post, and it will link your post to theirs.

If neither of those uses cases works you can create a hyperlink to someone’s profile by using the following syntax [link text](hyperlink). So in your case, the link would be [TheTwister7156](https://forums.flightsimulator.com/u/TheTwister7156). Alternatively, you can use an absolute URL from root meaning you can cut off the domain name and start at /c . This means your link could be shortened to [TheTwister7156](/c/TheTwister7156).

The downside of this approach is that clicking on someones @username will bring up an information card about them, if you use the link approach it will link to their profile instead.
