The servers were down for sometime yesterday, all should be ok now though.
That’s a good guess you’ve made : I have this also, because multiplayer is disabled in “Options > Data”. Appart from this menu, I have access to online services (Photogrammetry, Marketplace, …).

all right i mean so but the choice of server would be independant of multiplayer no ?
This setting is so you can choose to fly with friends across the world in multiplayer. MSFS scenery and uploads are streamed from servers local to you and you cannot change them.
so no possibilities to change the server ?

You should be able to change the multiplayer servers as shown in your screenshot. I believe the Multiplayer Servers option should not be greyed out if you are correctly logged into your Xbox account.
I noticed that there was an Update to the Xbox Identity Provider yesterday on my PC. You might try opening the Windows Store, clicking on the Library icon, then click on Get Updates, and update any apps that have an update available.
Not sure if this will help get you back on-line, but it is quick to do & cannot hurt to try.

There’s nothing to change: multiplayer is off. Turn multiplayer on, and it’ll connect and you can choose a server override if you want.
