Questions about icing

First I want to say I like the icing effects, but after doing some googling about it, there was something I don’t understand.
From what I’ve read (please correct if this is wrong) when icing conditions exist (near freezing and with some precipitation) you can have icing, however, the same article mentioned that you won’t have icing if you are not in a cloud even if the temperature is near freezing.
So currently I am flying around in northeastern Canada and the OAT is about -2 deg. C… My little Cessna is all iced up lol… but I have tried avoiding clouds and I’m flying almost on the ground… the skies look only partly cloudy, mostly sunny… so should I be seeing icing?
Also, is there any option for the Cessna when it comes to icing? I presume I’m screwed? I tried adding cabin heat to try and defrost the windows but nope… lol…
Anyway, hoping to make it to my destination without crashing lol.

Yes, fly low and avoid clouds. You have a pitot heater, but that’s it.
