Quickie Q200 from Lionheart Creations released

I was aware of this “sometimes it doesn’t work on the first flight” so I have retried today and the problem is unfortunately the same. I bought the plane on JustFlight and it indicates the version 1.2.3 from the 22nd of April. I bought and downloaded it the day after (nice timing, I guess  ).

Just to confirm, by default (without any modification to the files), the copilot would not appear in the virtual cockpit view, right ?

If so, I guess I just need to alter the position just a bit, to place it further back. Because it seems it’s the problem. I’ll try to take more screenshots in a few minutes.

Ok I tested again, and the issue is still there.
First of all, some pictures of the external view. You can see it seems fine from a distance, but with another angle and looking more closely, both the pilot and the passenger are seating a bit away from the backrest:

Notice also the left arm of the passenger being in a weird position:

Then from the cockpit:

Ah, also, the passenger appears only after I switch to the external view then back to the cockpit, after I switch the engine on. If I don’t switch the view, then it doesn’t appear. EDIT: appears on second flight without restarting the sim.

Last picture, virtual cockpit view but slided the view to be outside, so show another angle of view. Not only she is sitting too much forward, but the tip of her foot is going through the engine cover

Don’t get me wrong Bill, this issue is not your fault, since the current model is not made for showing the passenger in the cockpit. I’m just trying to tweak it more to my liking (I don’t like the empty cockpit in VR  ) so this glitch is my fault. I’m just curious about what you think of the issue, that’s all

Hello SAPDaube,

That is very strange. Sorry its not working right for you.

Confirming that the passenger ‘does not’ appear in the virtual cockpit, only in external view. The only plane I have that does this is the Bucker Bu-131 and its optional, click the button and she appears.

I wonder why you cannot use the existing coordinates from the model to adjust yours, that its relocating them.

This might be the new LOD locater system that Asobo created for MSFS 2024 planes, so you can add things to the planes, model special packages, such as freight, Air Ambulance equipment and stretcher, etc… Those need a gizmo locater. All addons use this new system. (crazy complex now).

Did you get my email a couple of weeks ago, Bill? @LyonHaart001

No problems Bill, it’s just lack of luck.
The sad thing is that I really like the plane and the way you modelled the cockpit. I fly in VR so the cockpit modeling is the most important part of the immersion. I guess I’ll have to fly this aircraft alone in the cockpit, that’s all

EDIT: just to make it clear, for the moment I fly exclusively in MSFS2020, not MSFS2024. All my screenshots above are from MSFS2020.

Roger that.
I’ll see what I can do about putting the copilot in there. Shouldnt be too much trouble. I’ll see how I did it with the Bucker.

Hey @Baracus250,
I thought I did. I sent you a link. Did it not make it? Resend if you can.

I am trying to track down your notes on the Tailwind W10 you sent over, here on the forums. I am presently doing an update on it to correct engine temps and pressures, etc.

Bill

I did get your first email with link but I replied that the email address you allowed access to is not my Google email, so I could not download it and I asked you to change the access to a different email so I could download it. Did you see that one? Thanks!!

I’ll look for that. Sorry I missed it.

@SAPDaube , I gave it a go and it looks so horrible. I cant do it. Its because the fit is too tight. I had to bunch the pilots towards the center so their heads didnt go through the glass and their butts go through the belly of the plane. She is partially into the center console and her hands are in the panel. No matter how far back I brought her, when in the interior view mode, she was still moved forward. Its like something automatic is keeping me from putting her head against the back head cushion.

I tried. I can send it to you, but its horrible. You wont like it.

Bill

You can see her knee cap is up against the ignition key.

Hehe, yes I can see indeed.
I made some tries as well. Basically I moved her a bit back and just a little bit to the right.
Her headset goes a tiny bit through the window but I can’t see it from my position so it’s fine. Her legs position seems alright as well.
I couldn’t do anything for her left arm though, which still wants to catch the control stick

Her left leg still very lightly clips through the center panel, but it’s barely visible so I can live with that for now

Your version is farther back. Nice… Mine wouldnt go that far. I moved the target back quite a bit.

We need a Pamela Reif copilot with flowing blonde hair and cool glasses.

It came to me a way to fix the seats at their very front edge. When converting the Q200, something had happened to the mesh converting it over. I was able to do some surgery on it and mended the front cushions.

Look for the update when it comes out.
