Yes…but it is a pity that if you remove the scenery, what is left s a bag of nails.
It’s supposed to be a ‘flight’ simulator, not a scenery simulator…and the ‘flight’ bit is currently rubbish. Hopefully, it will improve.
I believe a lot of us would beg to differ …Things to improve but the flight physics for many of the planes especially GA are quite good. The airliners are quite flyable. I am avid user of xplane and have a lot of money spent in scenery, 10TB of orthophotos. I enjoy flying in VR immensely. I currently use both sims. Very happy to have such compelling options.
Default planes in this sim are leaps and bounds beyond what can be found elsewhere. The level of community engagement in the challenges is unmatched… The shear amount of variety in the scenery without requiring a download is astounding. My 8 year old son has his own install of the sim and has been learning a lot more about world geography ( and ICAO codes) since starting to sim. It is more than a flight simulator, to say otherwise is reductive given the shear scope,

Never in my 20+ years of flight sim have I had this much fun doing VFR flights.
Am I a pilot IRL - no. Do I think this sim with the default aircraft is ready for IFR? No.
I am simply enjoying the wonderful scenery as I take the Cessnas from city to city and having the time of my life, all the while anticipating just how far this sim can take us.
