I don’t think it’s gonna happen hey, not before Xmas anyway but who knows, they might be in for a busy week.
It would take a brave dev to drop a major update a few days from a much needed holiday, IMO it was this week or broke I’d have thought. I don’t see it happening based on their post about fixing the weather (by committee concensus by the looks of things). Lets face it those with the biggest issues over bugs can just run the Beta to keep going.
it’s not a major update though, it’s a patch to the previous major update.

I’d argue that any update involving changing the weather system is a major update irrespective of it’s title.
Yes. On and off. At 1000ft 2 days ago. It’s all very mysterious and annoying in equal measures. Esp. as they haven’t even acknowledged that something is going on with the live servers.

I’ve been flying pretty much all day and so far so good for now. The only issue for today was a moment where I was under 1000ft coming in for a landing in somewhat central India, a freak updraft or “wind gust event” smashed me from underneath at an angle sending me up into a corkscrew-like maneuver then plummeting me into a free fall like a rock. Like gravity and other physics just turned off for second, I didn’t have a chance at gliding my way out of that one.

Other than OAT issues my only violent weather events seem to happen occasionally at high altitudes when just cruising along. Usually soon after putting the seatbelt signs off. 
You guys over there on PC get seatbelt signs? Aww maaaan! Xbox gets nothing 
I can’t remeber about the default Neo, but the FBW A320NX has a seatbelt alert switch and a cabin ‘ping’ to alert crew before take off and landings. Its so sad that this version isn’t coming to XBox. It’s my go to plane on PC and they have an A380 in the works too.
I would not hold my breath for a pre-Xmas release.
In most tech firms this week already has some staff on leave, next week it’s literally bye-bye, c u next year.
I would be surprised if they risked breaking anything with another release right now.
It’s not today so best chance is our possibly worst nightmare of breaking the sim on the 23rd.

Yeah there’s nothing more to be had for this year by the looks.
How sad. But I still don’t want to sign up for the Beta.
