pretty realistic Iād say;
the reason it might look āmathematicalā, is because itās physics 
itās also a bit distorted in your case because of the very wide FOV (Field of view), zoom in a bit more, and you wonāt get that weird quake effect.

I just searched the web for ācircular rainbowsā. There are a bunch of pics - some looked very similar. Lotās of explanations for them too. So, Iād agree with MortThe2nd. Pretty accurate.

Since the 2020 sim was released Iāve seen a lot of updates.
Not all of them had positive results but MS/Asobo is seriously doing a great job.
Rainbows, sparks in the cloudsā¦ turbulence.
Itās not accurate at all times but weāre getting there.
