Flew from Milwaukee to Chicago following the interstate. Noticed a bunch of planes sitting in a random location along the interstate. Turns out it’s a military museum, although “museum” may be a stretch. From the photos I’ve seen it looks more like a military junk yard that you can pay to walk through. Interesting regardless.

I remember, back in the 80s, when I was a teacher in North Hollywood, driving by one of the local wreck shops in the the East SF Valley and coming on yard full of old jet parts, big and small of Skyhawks and Phantoms. Of course, back then we had many shops and Lockheed there. This reminds me of that.

Took a balloon flight from the grounds of Ragley Hall, the location of the Midlands Air Festival. I was treated to a Typhoon display while getting ready for take off.
