I have successfully landed the Grravel bush plane on the summit of 14,048’ Mt Langley, several miles south of Mt Whitney, visible in the background. Mt Langley was first climbed by Clarence King and Richard Cotter, thinking they were ascending the tallest on the continent. When they reached the summit, they saw their error in the presence of nearby Whitney, and they also saw a pile of obsidian arrowhead chippings.
