Hi, originally installed Premium Delux from CDROM box set (years ago), then updated via XBOX online app etc. Installed tons of aircraft and addons etc. and used it for some time. Recently, however, got the old ‘Checking for updates’ issue when it just hangs there. Followed loads of online tips etc. but to no avail. Also, noted that I appear to only be running 40th Anniversary version not premium delux whioch I would apparently have to pay for again.
Decided in the end to uninstall via XBOX online and reinstall. Two days later with updates this was completed but same issue again stickon pon checking for updates. So, got desparate and just tried to install from original box set but when running setup it just goes to online options and wont let me install from CDRom anyway. In getting frustrated the other day trying to reinstall online version accidenally re-purchased 40th Anniversary online version but still couldn’t get past same issue and refund request was rejected.
So, I paid for te original Premium Delux Box Set, then purchasex at least two 40th Anniversary online licenses and cannot install game or run any version. Is there any wonder that I feel I should abadon MSFS forever now and stick with to far more reliable DCS? I would like to play MSFS if somebody would be kind enough to tell me how to get it to work. I have been a fan since DOS version but lost so much hair over the years trouble shooting starting to think i am fighting a dead horse.
But if anybody couild restore my faith I am up for one final challenge to get it back on my system please.
