Last night my MSFS 2020 quit or locked up. When I went in the Microsoft Store it said it needed repaired. I saw no way to repair it so decided I’d just uninstall it and start over. That might have been a huge mistake. Now when I go to re-install it the app gets to 100% but then says error. I’ve tried resetting it but same results. Does anyone have any idea’s how to get beyond this error and get MSFS 2020 back on my computer.
I’ve re-installed MSFS twice (from Steam store) and even changed the directory and had no problems. When you say it get’s to 100%, what do you mean? The Microsoft store install gets to 100 and says error? Or when you run MSFS it says error? Or what?
Download gets to 100% but then says error. I’ve re-installed before and never had a problem. Once it downloads you have to install it but I can’t get to that point.
Hm, might be a Microsoft store problem if it can’t finish the download. I dont’ know much about that, sorry.
Turn off AV software.
Go to
System settings > apps
Scroll down to microsoft srore.
Click microsoft store and select advanced options.
Scroll down and select > Reset.
Reboot PC.
I just ran SDK recently and exit the sim and when I intended to run it again it gave me “needs repair” error a few days ago. I uninsalled it and installed back again and today I ran that SDK thing again and the same loop. horrible.
another 5 hour install in a few day time ? you must be kidding Asobo ! MStore whatever.
