I know that this is an older post, but I wanted to let you know that I merged it into another post about METARs. METAR data is actually included in live weather in the sim, but I don’t think I have to tell you that it doesn’t work a lot of the time. There is a general bug report for live weather not working, and you may wish to vote for this topic:
