I just wanted to start a post to document my experiences with RealVNC Home Connect and my tablet I hardly had a use for other than using it for ground school online training in front of my living room TV. I am tired of looking to the left at my second monitor at my FlightSim tools so I decided to make use of my tablet and put it in from of my 65 in TV monitor sitting on top of my Honeycomb Alpha Yoke. You may already have your favorite tool to share screens but I just wanted to test out Real VNC home connect.
-I use Flightsounds USB to mono jack with my David Clark headphones, LittleNavMap, and Pilot2ATC, for both MSFS 2020 and Xplane. So many apps!
-I have the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 Plus (WiFi version) with a 12.4 in screen and its connected via WiFi on the same LAN as my flightsim PC.
-Real VNC home connect is a free version of the enterprises solution and it includes five end point licenses with no vendor support. You register for an account, download RealVNC server on the PC with your FlightSim tools on it.
-Go to Playstore (might have support on Apple store not sure) and install Real VNC viewer. Sign in with the account you created
-I mainly wanted it for viewing the second monitor which is my Samsung 32 in 1080p
-I resize the windows for Pilot2ATC and LittleNavMap so I can tap and switch inbetween on the tablet.
More testing needed if this solution is doable
