I would like to ask for your help. I currently have an RTX 3080TI video card with an Intel Core i7-12700K 3.6GHz processor. The simulator says that the processor is limited.
My question is, does an RTX 4080 video card with DLSS3 function solve the limitation of the processor? Or would you need a new processor?

It’s as simple as it reads. If something is limited thst is the weak component with those settings. So in your case that’s CPU. You can of course influence it by changing settings. For instance increasing the resolution so the graphics card is working harder may close the gap or even make it GPU dependent. If you change nothing it’s likely this supposed upgrade will bring you nothing.
DLSS 3 should double your lowest FPS. MSFS will likely still say you are CPU limited because that is still what is limiting your performance, but who cares if you are getting double the FPS? Something has to be limiting performance anyway.
BTW by how much is your current performance being limited by CPU? ie. what are your mainthread and GPU frame times? I’ve found the biggest cause of CPU limited scenarios is people running too high a TLOD. I run TLOD 200 in 2D, because I have a 5800X3D and 4090 that can handle it, but in VR I run TLOD 100 to only be rarely CPU limited and I can’t really tell the difference when flying normally anyway.
