anyone want to give an update to their perspective on this addon? How’s it coming along in your opinion? Is it up to the DC-6 level yet in terms of visuals?
There was a new update few weeks ago. This plane is getting better and better. The devs are very responsive on their Discord.

It is very different than the DC6, I think the Connie is better in some aspects and a little worst -maybe- in others. For me it is one of my fav add-ons for MSFS, so different than the other planes and so full of details.

thanks for the reply. could you maybe give one or two reasons you think its better and worse than the DC-6? I really love that plane so I use it as a baseline when it comes to other antique birds. i’ve been eyeing the connie for a while so like to keep up with its progress from time to time before I decide if I buy it
Graphically the DC6 probably looks a bit better inside even with the typical PMDG 2d textures that abound in the cockpit, the Redwing model is nice but the interior is a bit cartoonish, the whole line of products by this dev has this distinctive flavour, love it or hate it it feels different.
In terms of systems both are quite deep, the Connie has all the systems modeled and they work as expected,both airplanes can be long haulers and have quite advanced fuel systems.
The Connie is a bit better in the EFB and assist features, it can even takeoff and land automatically if you like that kind of stuff, the flight engineer can get orders or can be used from the eng station to set the fuel at different stages of the flight. I think this is quite better than the PMDG efb and their artificial engineer version.

The dev is fairly active in his Discord, however there hasn’t been much talk about the Connie beyond people mysteriously still using Legacy flight model needing to switch to Modern in FS2024.
On April 27th, he said “No Connie work for the moment…I will have a look on FS24 version soon”
The distraction lately has probably been that he is nearing release of the Latecoere 28.1 for FS2024, and is also updating a lot of sceneries for FS2024 (and nearing release of a new scenery.)
I do hope the Super Constellation is revisited, patched and improved. After 5 years, it seems clear no one else is itching to make one, so RedWing is our Obi Wan here.

I tried flying this for the first time in 2024 a few days ago, but I kept running into an issue where the Yoke stopped functioning.
Sometimes it happens right at loading into the cockpit an other times it happens after I have everything configured and am about to start taxing.
