Just curious, perhaps someone with more knowledge in regards to this directory can advise.
For mods that utilize this directory, would it be perhaps advisable to clear this directory as well before installing new/updated mod versions?
Take for instance the A320NX. When you install the mod and use it, there is a folder created here: AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\Packages, named flybywire-aircraft-a320-neo
Would it be advisable to delete this folder after installing an updated instance of the mod? Would this in any way aid in the chance of any issues not occurring after an update by forcing the mod to rebuild folders from the updated instance? Or is version checking here a thing and can we assume the mod will update folders and files in this directory accordingly?
In this instance by deleting the folder you’ll possibly lose your throttle calibration, though for myself I calibrate the throttle after every update for the plane anyways.
With my current knowledge regarding this (LocalState Packages Directory) I could assume it would be a good thing to do when installing updated mods, in order to allow the mod to rebuild everything in its current state as opposed to installing a newer state of a mod and the mod then working with files created from an earlier version state.
Anyways, just pondering and examining routes of troubleshooting if or when the time occurs.
