I’m talking about the art assets themselves, not the injector.
With the default Live Traffic it will crash after minutes of them loading the AIG models in. Will also crash if injected with any third party traffic injector.
I’ve tested this with just the AIG folders in community with no other addons.
This is an important thing to fix in my opinion. The CTDs are caused persumably by outdated livery structure of AiG or aircraft folder structure. The SU2 is currently breaking most of the backwarts compatibility for aircraft and livetirs from 2020
I am pretty sure this is connected to the changes of how the community folder can be located by 3rd party.
The same issue cause CTD with Fenix and FBW, as well as any other 3rd party addon that relies to load assets from the community folder.
I read that until SU1 the location of the community folder was the last line of a .cfg . But now thet added another line. So addons looking for the last line to find your community folder fail to do so and cause a CTD.
My naive thinking would be, thst the solution would be quite simple by just putting the locstion of the community folder in the last line again.
So i hope there will be a fix with rhe next release.
I don’t think so. Thats the issue for specific injectors, but the models CAN be loaded, they just lead to a ctd after 5 - 15 seconds.
Either something with shader rendering caused by the dlss update (since the dll points to nvidia driver), or some other logic being changed in case of loading aircraft and liveries. The same problems happens with 2020 liveries for ini a320neo, which is working with default liveries.
This happens also with GAMod models, that uses MSFS2020 native models.
Could it be texture file problem? Native MSFS2024 uses .ktx2 format. MSFS2024 AI models works fine with AI OFFLINE and they actually look good and they have spinning propellers. And very good performance.
I reckon it’s to do with what you mentioned, the shader rendering
Fenixsim rolled out a hotfix yesterday and the main thing they changed was forced a specific rendering type, which instantly fixed the problem for a lot of users, so that’s probably it
Why it’s suddenly broken? Not one clue, someone messed up along the way and destroyed backwards compatibility, though
I think that the association with AIG as the common cause of this issue I absolutely correct. No idea why or how to solve it BUT…
I was using AIG to feed into FSTL and Gamod
I attempted to load up in EHAM almost 20 times and in each instance it either CTD’d once the aircraft was loaded on the gate and the airfiled started to load traffic
I disabled AIG (2 addons) in the library section of Community folder…AND
Bob’s your uncle, it loaded in sim at gate and as the horrible ugly traffic (Complete with the hideous Boeing787 and other generic liveries loaded in traffic) all now works 100% and NO CTD’s
So a question to MS(Zen desk) - I am 100% sure this is an issue that will effect everyone using AIG models for all the various injectors- what should we or I do to resolve this ? Or given your weight of influence, can you find a work around and communicate/discuss this with AIG ?
Its all about MS/Asobo’s Lack of Communication. They dont document and publish ALL Changes they have done for a new buid… no one has a chance to identify issues or get a clou what it might be … its literally like navigation during the times of Columbus.. “it should be India what we are seeing.”.. . At the end its just frustating what they do, and the thursday dev blog is just a repetition of “Changelogs” and Marketplace marketing.
