In SU3 You introduced lighting regression, now the lighting effect more closely simulates a condition called astigmatism than the normal view of lights at night.
Please, just copy and paste lights from MSFS 2020 and don’t touch it.

While I don’t think this is necessarily a bug but more an art decision I agree that they should go the more realistic way which would be getting rid of the “star” and instead use a corona disk like this:
It’s aweful and I dont understand why it was done this way and wasn’t checked how it looks it the sim.
This experimentation should be done outside of release or atleast give the option to disable such settings. Now we are stuck with yet another ‘feature’ that does nothing but make it worse.
I just want to ask moderators or devs, why they make this lights even if nobody ask for changing to this way.
Just look how amazing it was in FS2020. So copy & past and leave this light alone!
Just so Asobo knows – I kinda like the star effect. It’s MUCH better than a perfectly round flat looking corona effect.
I bought IniBuilds Providence RI yesterday and the lights on the equipment near the 747 look awesome but they also still use these little star effect lights and I think it adds nice variety. I’d hate for all of them to be the same.
A little bit of variety is nice, but it’s way overdone with the camera effects. Stuff like that should be a toggle setting in postprocess (which we somehow dont have in 2024) like lensflare and bloom
