Hi all, unfortunately the SSD burned out on my pc. This meant that after having it repaired I lost everything. I have 're installed using the 10 disc as I did originaly however when I put in the validation code it says ‘code already redeemed’ my account shows I own the premium delux version but it seems I can’t 're install it. Any advice please?
Simple solution: In order to speed up the installation many times over, simply create with the program clonedvd (10 ?) images and let all img install alone with clonedvd, you can go for coffee until its finished. After hopefully succesfull installation simply double-click the first img to mount it and start the flusi. You will never need anymore an externel drive for flusi.

Even doing so would be a complete waste of space and time. The reason being the version of the Sim that was shipped with the DVD is the first version. And we’re almost 1 year in and we had multiple major updates. The total of the update is nearing the entire DVD installation size.
Even if you make ISO images of the DVD and yes installing it from it is faster. You would still need to store the ISO images somewhere. And that takes storage space.
Even if you managed to install them quickly. By the time you’re downloading the patch updates. The Sim will detect that it’s an long outdated version and will start to download all the cumulative updates coming after that version. All of which could be worth the entire size anyway.
If you want to back it up somewhere. It’s probably better off by just redownloading the entire Sim through the internet. And store that exact files and folders somewhere. So if you need to reinstall. You have the latest version that you have backed up.
The only time you spend is just copying the entire Sim into a folder. And run the Sim to point to that folder and it will only download the remaining patch.
The more updates we’re getting into the future. The less sense it makes to reinstall the Sim from the DVD, either physically or through a virtual disk image.
