Relaxing sunset hop

Today I ended my afternoon with a very relaxing sunset flight. It was a short hop from KIMS to KLOU in the 152 VFR. Light 9 kt winds gave gentle easy to handle buffeting. Traffic was abundant and well behaved. The setting sun bathed the cockpit in warm golds and cool shadows. Arriving at KLOU I was greeted to a new female voice that gave proper instruction for pattern entry. The approach was well behaved with a gentle touchdown that satisfied my desire to end the flight well. Taxied in to parking and found the ground crew looking to be led to a stop but… They were facing backwards!
Oh well, I enjoyed the flight anyway.

KLOU… Bowman field, Louisville. My home airport in real life. Love that place! And yes, it was a beautiful evening here.

Sounds like an awesome evening. I just completed a few lovely legs with @TrainedClown68 in Seattle and Alaska, such stunning scenery. Before that I did a leg with FSE to a short strip in the SR22. I often find the ground marshallers facing awkward directions in the smaller airports as well - they seem to be OK in the larger airports however.

I must say that I love videos from SteveoKinevo and ladies flying with him, especially my favorite was flight from Antlanta Regional to Heavens Landing GE99 and back (next video), interesting and perfect video from him of course, also ladies very pro! Like reproduce some flights from his account…
