RELEASE: MilViz Corsair for MSFS

I don’t think anyone has requested that on here, or that the aircraft never had it, but rather as something that is OPTIONAL if possible. Colin has said that they’re doing it so were all good.

The Commemorative Air Force PF-1D doesn’t have either fitted ( well not in this 2017 video anyway) Corsair Check Ride COCKPIT & GROUND VIEWS - YouTube , so a vintage Corsair flying around in the modern era without a gunsight is , well, pretty accurate for a modern non combat sim. :+1:

Always good to have options and impressed with the quick feedback from Colin on here; too many devs in this game give it the old ‘we’ll have a look at it’ and kick the can around the yard for months on end. Plus they have a Skyraider in the works  (hopefully for this sim too at some stage)

Any particular color?

I would prefer a tasteful British Racing Green or drab Olive.
A layer of that gel stuff wouldn’t go amiss for those who aren’t over upholstered at the back.

Screw that. I want a big honking American Flag.

I was thinking more like this for y’all…

As a matter of fact, yes. Parachute color. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Sort of like this (but not in black and white):

Precisely, Yes.

Any chance of replacing the gunsight with a modern GPS nav aid, like many of the current flying warbirds have? Would make flying between airports simpler, even without an autopilot.

I linked to this above, but the Flying Bulls Corsair has a radio stack and an HSI.

Would be cool have such an option, like an expansion pack airshow version.

Um. No. Let’s not lose focus of what this is. There is a T-45 waiting for you in the hangar.

Sooo, you’re flying an old aircraft in a modern world sim? I personally don’t see the problem in it being an option.

This is a civilian aviation sim. Therefore it makes sense to have airshow planes, more so than functional weapons talked about above.

I’m old enough to not take such things as a joke.

That aside, huge congratulations on this release.
I’m a long time fan of Milviz and been waiting waiting eagerly for some of my fav Milviz products to get to MFS so today I’m a happy chappy.
One thing worries me though. My top fav Milviz aircraft is the T-50 (for whatever bizarre reason) and it seems to be missing from the ‘timeline’ mentions above, yet it had been mentioned as ‘coming early’ in Facebook posts and such even before the release of MFS. So … do I have to keep sitting on my woopee cushion a little longer … or a lot longer ?
Once again huge grats on the Corsair - super job.

The T-50 is in the list. Once we get a working twin…

Roger that thx

Yeah but… once you get a working twin… there is something called King Air 350i… Just a little simple bird from P3D… and the new EVO! I mean, I fly P3D all the time and I am happy to have them there, but if they come over to MSFS, it will be AMAZING.

What’s wrong with the default KA350i?

Well, what’s NOT wrong with it is a better question. I can’t fly that thing since flying the MilViz one. That Frankensteined Garmin Touch system… I mean… THEY HAVE A ProLine 21 modeled for the CJ4! I never understood why they didn’t put THAT in the default aircraft.

Perhaps then, a better question would be… what’s wrong with the CJ4 PL-21?
