RELEASE: MilViz Corsair for MSFS

Hear, hear  So products are tested by MS before they are let into the sim marketplace :+1:t2:

that would be really great!

You enlarged the rest of the sim?

Yup… EVERYTHING is now bigger by 1008%… oops… might be too big…

And when it comes to VR, some games let the player control the in-game distance between the two stereo render viewpoints. That would be a kind of workaround here to make the cockpit appear the right size (wouldn’t solve the difference in size compared to the rest of the world, but you hardly notice that when flying).

Because of this scale having had rolldown effects on the SP, we’re delayed AGAIN … mid week next or even end of week. All camera defs and contact points need to be redone.

Oh well.

Frustrating, yes. As Im sure it is for you too. But, I think it’s commendable what you’re doing with this SP. I’m impressed at your attention to detail and desire for what you make to be the best. Clearly a labor of love for MilViz!

Cant wait, but I will!

That’s a shame, was looking forward to flying it this weekend after two other postponements.

Great to hear, thank you for fixing / improving this aircraft, its much appreciated. I still love flying it, even if it is a little too large.

Glad to see there seems to have been an identification of an issue with the scale - are you able to share what was happening?

For general scale issues if anyone is using steam’s OpenXR you can now change world scale on a slider in real time. I find it useful to scale down the A320 cockpit to around ~90% as that also suffers from excessively large cockpit syndrome in VR for whatever reason.

Looking forward to the SP when it’s ready, sounds like it’s got a lot going on under the hood. Should make an already great plane even better. Along with the Sim Update next week it should be a great week!

As much as I’m anticipating the release… take your time. I’m in no rush. Still fun as is.

The aircraft model, when it was made eons ago, was made too large by about 3 feet. We have reduced it to the correct 41 feet.

However, I am not at all sure this is going to “fix” the issue in VR. If it doesn’t, well… you’re on your own.

We’re working on fixing the contact points, cameras among other things.

Luckily VR isn’t some mysterious sorcery (and it seems that VR players are the ones who mainly caught the actual discrepancy):
An exact error of 3 feet from 44 down to 41 means an scale change of 7.3%
In volume, the fixed model should be 80% of what is was, which should be pretty significant.
Thank you!

Any update on the patch?

We redid the start sequence from scratch. Took a bit longer than expected.

We still can’t add the supercharger code due to an error in the throttle system(s) in the sim. Asobo is aware of this and a fix is planned… when? Don’t know. Hopefully, it will be in the next drop.

Incoming this week.
