RELEASE: MilViz Corsair for MSFS

The flaps will not stay down at speeds too high for them… they will blow up as part of the design. If you’re going too fast, they won’t go down at all.

I know, but it should be possible to edit those values, from flight_model ??
160 knt is the extended flaps - speed limit, right ?

Why would you want to do that? It would destroy how the plane is supposed to fly…

Also, I’m pretty sure that the flaps are custom coded so that they also work with the dive brakes.

This is not the plane to buy on the Marketplace IMO. Apparently all you have to do is ask them by email and they will reset the 10 Limit. I don’t mind buying things from the Marketplace, but not warbirds. The Marketplace does not allow simulated weapons. Milviz’ latest update allows you too load bombs and Rockets, and even fire the guns Marketplace version will not allow this.

I´ve still the same “problem”.
Have i overlooked something, looks weird.

Hi guys. Just noticed that this is now available for purchase from ORBX. This might be of interest to those of you who have bought from ORBX in the past and prefer to use their Central download system. Guns included too (not sure about Roses though!) :slightly_smiling_face:

Im so sad… I just purchased it two days ago on Milviz website. I submitted a support ticket for them to transfer it over. I don’t have my hopes up because they haven’t done that in the past. Contrail is the best addon manager I’ve dealt with, they have transferred outside purchases into their manager for me with no issues.

I must admit that I do like the ORBX Central download system. Never had any problems with it or ORBX in the past so I shall be buying it from ORBX sometime today :slightly_smiling_face:

Ha … Famous last words and all that.

Just gone to ORBX to buy this. On the website it’s saying that the cost is $39.41 (£28.97) but when I log into my ORBX account the price jumps to $47.34 (£34.78).

A few people have queried this on their forum and ORBX is saying that the difference is the extra 20% needed for VAT. Seems a bit odd. Whenever i’ve bought stuff from ORBX before i’ve always paid the price on the website which never changed after I have logged into my account. Also, what’s with the extra 20% cost in the US for tax.Last I heard the VAT rate there was 10% not the 20% it is in the UK???. The extra few quid is not a deal breaker but the perceived (at least to me) lack of transparency is. I’m mentioning this here so that others will be aware and so that it doesn’t come as a surprise to some of you if you decide to buy from ORBX.

The price direct from Milviz is quoted as $39.99 US. I assumed this was the price or UK equivalent that I would pay. Does anybody know if this too is the price before VAT is levied? Again, not a deal breaker but I like to know what the real full price is before buying.

Most of my purchases are thankfully from Just Flight or occasionally the MP where the price quoted is actually the price paid.

Follow up: Just checked on the ORBX website and it now makes it clear that the price is before adding tax so no problem now with that. Maybe I missed it before??? Anyway, I now have no problems regarding a perceived lack of transparency and have now bought it from ORBX :slightly_smiling_face::slightly_smiling_face::slightly_smiling_face:

Because the taxes are added once you’ve entered your data, there’s no way to assess your total cost beforehand.

We will not change or provide refunds just because you want to use Orbx, or any other store.

Thank you for your reply. I have now bought it from ORBX. I now fully understand that the cost of the Corsair on your website now also excludes UK VAT.

Cheers :slightly_smiling_face:

Well for starters OrbX is an Australian company and secondly VAT is a tax you are paying to your (British) government, not the Australian, so you pay your VAT rate, not the host seller’s VAT.

Although saying that I’m pretty sure with past purchases I’ve made at OrbX the estimated conversion price they showed for GBP was inclusive of VAT, perhaps they’ve changed that recently though which isn’t great.

Edit: noticed you said the price was different before logging in, I guess it just shows without tax before logging in as they dont use any location services to check where you are and then shows the price with tax after signing in as it knows your location then? Just a guess but I’d so that isn’t really a problem, just sign in before browsing their store

Hi, I edited my post to say that ORBX now makes it clear that its price is before tax. Maybe they did before and I missed it like a few other people on their forum. I don’t know tbh. Anyway, I no longer have any issues regarding the prices and have now bought it from them. To be fair, i’ve never had any problems with them in the past and have always found them to be a great third party retailer who would seem to value their customers

Thank you Jérémy. I did not notice in previous version that speed superior to 180knots prevent flaps to deploy. Thank you for your help :+1:

Glad I was able to help.

Thank you for your precious advices

got it from orbx…
but opps I managed to bend the prop on my 2nd flight :joy:
how can I reset/repair it - logically would have thought this function would appear on the tray options next to loadout but there looks to be no maintenance options there?

You’ll have to restart.

You have to restart the flight, no repairs avaliable.

thanks for the replies
actually I restarted at another airfield problem solved - but strangely when i restart at the nice freeware WW2 airfield (doesnt matter what livery) gives me the bent prop again? (so cant seem to start the engine from that airfield) - any ideas?(assume there is no in game maintenance menu to solve this)
