RELEASE: MilViz Corsair for MSFS

I think ctrl R is supposed to repair and refuel, but it doesn’t seem to work on Just Flight planes, I don’t know about Milviz.

thanks gave the ctrl R a try and it didnt seem to function…
only seem to have the problem on the freeware baracoma airport (AGBA) always start with the prop bent! (cant seem to fix it).
only other thing I noticed was the flaps on my bravo throttle do not seem to map to the flaps on the corsair - I just need to move the lever in the cockpit and they work - anyone any ideas how to fix?

Flaps are custom coded so they won’t work with the external hardware. (This is on Asobo).

The bent prop is because your freeware airports levelling is badly done. Use another airport.

Phobo

Just wondering how you managed to get the freeware Baracoma airfield working with the Corsair? (Have been trying it and instantly
Been getting a broken prop! According to Colin it’s to do with the ground level settings)
Any help appreciated as aside from prop strikes it looks nice…

Ok understood - so are u saying I can’t assign the flaps to my bravo flap lever they need to be assigned to an on/off button?(does this mean you can’t select them in increments it’s either full on or off?)

For the exact same reasons you just made for the Marketplace, or in one word: convenience

Perhaps reading the manual would be of assistance…

I haven’t done anything except make sure I had the latest version installed. Soon after SP1 another update was released addressing loading issues.

For Flaps on my Bravo, I use the default flaps switch (Increase Flaps and Descreas Flaps). Goes incrementally or hold and it runs all the way down/up quickly. Ideally it would be an Axis, but I’m not complaining. I’ve only been flying the Corsair these days. Love it to death. It’s high seat gives a great view over the nose when cruising, great visibility.

Finally a use for the switch!(will try and bind it)

That’s weird - as I have the latest version of the plane (just got it from orbx) and I downloaded the latest version of the scenery from .to - but no matter where I spawn it arrives with a bent prop and the engine won’t start…any other airport and it works perfectly!

That’s a pretty good sign that the freeware airport you are using isn’t really working well and you should probably not use it.

That’s a shame as the scenery was perfect for the Corsair😭but might give the pacific islands pack a try😁

Barakoma works just fine.

The first time I started, it came up with bent props, but there was no sign it ever tipped over, and it was sitting just fine at start up. It felt to me like it was that same issue that bent props show up in the hangar until you switch liveries. So I restarted, and it was fine.

My landing, however, wasn’t so fine, but, next time I gotta remember to lower the gear before I’m on final.

My, what an Awesome addon! It was great before the update, but the update totally pushed it over the top. So cool. I recommend this plane for anyone who enjoys realism and power, and… feel. It just feels right. wow.

(Well, the stick forces are a little light with my joystick, but, there’s nothing Milviz can do about that).

update soon?

We’re not planning any further updates…

Interesting.
Actually I never had any issues with tipping over - plane just spawned and the tips of all 3 props were curled - so the engine would not start- are you suggesting restarting the flight (assume you mean going into the main menu again or is there a quicker way)and trying the restart the flight with another livery?(milviz or 3rd party)or should it not matter?

I’m saying use another airport. One where the dev has “leveled” the spawn point.

I just hit “Esc” and “Restart”. Same flight, plane started up just fine the second time. I started at the first spot next to the runway on the inner ramp. The airport couldn’t be any flatter. It’s on the beach. I’m not sure why Colin is saying that it’s not flat.

I’m not saying it’s not flat. I’m saying it’s not leveled. Different meaning. The dev didn’t do their homework properly.

Please remember that our product is pretty much 100% custom coded and that means, it needs to have a default (or set up as a default) spawn location. Failure to have this will, potentially, result in bent props or tipped over aircraft.
