RELEASE: MilViz Corsair for MSFS

This information is irrelevant, as the person asking the question stated they do not have “simple access to the MilViz forum”. You might as well say that the concept of trim tabs was conceived about 1910 and patented about 1918 - probably before either of us were born.

This would at least provide some background information to a person trying to grasp the subject, yet doesn’t fully understand the concept and it’s implementation.

After reading several responses to the person that identified a trim tab animation issue, it was apparent that the responses communicated were unsuccessful. It is why my response is structured the way it is: non-condescending and promoting self discovery.

Making a statement simply to garner validation of one’s personal knowledge and experience is selfish and prohibitive to people relatively new to flight simming (specifically with the MilViz Corsair) and have a desire to learn. It is a statement that a “Serious Simmer” would make.

Person posted question am I myself.

The problem is indeed there is no easy access to the Milviz forum. I tried, read all posts in the open part but could not find a hint concerning trim flaps.
The tried to register for forum access. Not possible in a ‘normal’ way. Which would be to register with your mail, confirm, read an post.

Not there. You would have to ‘confirm’ somehow, that you bought it. No further information how to do. I guess, a bill of your credit-card sendig to the developers? At that point I gave up on the Milviz-forum.

If you buy it direct from us, it’s super simple to get access to the forums as the purchase info also includes auto registration.

However, when you buy it from anywhere else, we want proof of purchase as we only provide support to paying customers. It’s also super easy to register:

  1. send your proof of purchase to info at milviz dot com. Proof of purchase would constitute something that shows either a Paypal reference id, a credit card statement of some kind, or, an email from the vendor.
  2. we will send you a username/password.
  3. You’re in

I’ll do so because I of course am a paying customer
And I would suggest this more detailed information (esp. which kind of proof You accept) to clarify on the website. In my case email vendor email ist the easiest way.

Thank You for clarifying that point

PS: Sorry for posting wild concerning ‘bug’ which in reality is not. Great work by the way!

I totally agree with your policy, but, one reason I don’t buy from the Marketplace is they don’t give you proof of purchase for what you’ve purchased. Which is crazy and I have zero understanding of that policy.

We are looking into whether or not we can use a clients purchase email (on the marketplace) to find out if they’re legit… (or not).

Will advise when we know more.

I flew this for a while yesterday after a LONG break away from simming and especially warbirds. I am blown away just how much I am enjoying flying this particular one. This and the Flying Iron Spitfire are the two go-to birds in my hangar. I really love both of the aircraft Milviz has done for MSFS so far, I can’t wait for more. Colin, Dutch, and others, thank you for what you do! I am looking forward to something new soon - the Cessna twin, I am guessing. Finally! We don’t have a good twin yet with the exception of a Grumman Widgeon, but it’s a seaplane and goes into its own category.

I use Paypal in the Marketplace and ALWAYS have a receipt.

Not for what you purchased… just that you spent money. Unless the process has changed recently.

Nope, the email receipt from PayPall will say “FlightSim Credits” along with a currency amount and quantity (e.g., $9.99, QTY. 1).

Of course, combined with a screenshot of the Marketplace listing show the item as “OWNED” might be enough, but that would be up to Milviz.

Um, this is the Corsair thread.

The Porter thread is elsewhere.

Is there a way to change the 5-bladed blur prop? It looks like a Sea Fury.

We’re going to be prepping a set of fixes for this. We will look at this.

Also for the sound? My friend and I can’t hear each other and other corsairs (also with the PC 6)

We will look at these but… no promises.

The 5 bladed prop is no more. We will release the new build in Q2.

Yeah, the cameras are a bit wonky. I bound a key on my stick to reset the camera view and un-bound some of camera defaults from my stick HAT switch that normally switches views. Since I use a head-tracker, it’s not a big deal for me, but absent that, I would look into creating new custom camera views.

There is a mod on flightsim.to you could try, one of the reviews mentions it fixes the view reset issue so worth a shot.
