I wasn’t aware that this issue was already reported in the past and have reached out to determine the current status of this issue. If y’all know the internal forum location where it was reported before, it could be helpful to make this a little faster. Otherwise, I will be looking through our forums to find the original messages regarding this. Thanks a bunch!
I have noticed the nose down behavior too. AOA seems unrealistic at most speeds and doesn’t line up with visibility reports of real life pilots (i.e. while landing). It being a controller issue makes zero sense. I can’t even imagine why people would suggest that given the information provided about VS.
I’ve noticed poor performance also since last SP update to the Corsair and sim update. Flew it for the first time in a while the other day and it was choppy. No other plane I have runs this poorly, this includes GA and airliners
The issue was brought up in this thread. Here’s a link. Colin himself said they were looking into it a few posts down from my initial post about the issue.
And Colin’s response…
Some pics of the issue as reported by many in this thread. Just read through some of the posts after my initial one. It was pretty lengthy feedback from everyone.
And lastly, where Colin stated they will get it fixed and out in the next patch. From there…Silence.
I recently hopped into this plane after building my new rig and having left it alone for a while. The flight model is superb as are the graphics. It’s just a little funky looking at the plane externally in a nose down attitude. Also throws off knowing when you are at a neutral AoA visually in the cockpit without referring to the instruments. Here’s to hoping you guys can figure this one out.
I believe Dino over at IFE had the same issue with the T-45 or his MB-339 when it was initially released. He was able to sort it, so perhaps a quick message to him might help pinpoint any adjustments that need to be made.
I have reached out to the support team in charge of this and confirmed that they are aware of the issue. I am sure that they are working to find a resolution for this as we like to keep things in working order. I will let you all know as soon as I have more information regarding this!!
Just a heads up to anyone from Germany: The movie Devotion, which is all about the Corsair (and some Bearcats), unexpectedly popped up on Netflix today (at least for me it was unexpected)! I don’t know if it’s available in other countries as well.
It’s marked with the Netflix “N” too, like their originals. I guess they got the exclusive streaming rights over here. Luckily a Blu-ray is coming in February. I’m sure this will join my collection.
It’s on Paramount+. Apparently, it did poorly in theaters and Sony sold it to Paramount. Read that on one of those entertainment sites, take with a grain of salt. I thought it was excellent.
