Thanks for that. I’ll get there in the end. problem? Nah. Just a solution I haven’t found yet. Sometimes everything given to you on a plate is too easy, so a lot of fun to be had.
Hovering the choppers 3’ off the ground steadily is another solution waiting to be found. Landing them is fun, BANG and they’re down!
I try to play the game with a smile on my face. It is a game……isn’t it?
Trial and error, with little victories along the way, is the best journey!
Even though this is a “game”/simulation, I still prefer not to simulate dying.
I believe that if people watched the YouTube video of the actual WWII Corsair training video, this thread would be half it’s size. I think people would enjoy flying the addon a lot more, and they would avoid a lot of frustration.
An adventure isn’t a journey if you are are killed as soon as you begin.
Just watched the video, very good.
The movie Devotion is excellent. Highly recommended for any Corsair fan and a great memento to Jesse Brown.
I really love this plane probably my favourite in the sim but noticing a few things.
Engine shut down sounds don’t mirror the animation.
Temp gauges shoot up as soon as engine fires up instead of moving up as engine warms.
Also not sure what’s going on but whenever I’m coming into land with flaps down as soon as I drop the gear the flaps retract?? Then I can no longer get them down unless I raise the gear any suggestions on what this might be please?
Not seeing this issue myself.
Are you sure you’re not too fast and the flaps are blowing back?
Or you’ve got some controller conflict that’s triggering flaps up when you drop the gear?
Definitely not too fast as they are fully down then as soon as gear come down the flaps go up. Will have to check the settings I have for gear in spad next they never did this in the past so not sure what’s happened.
Can anyone confirm the bindings for spad.next landing gear please?
So can’t wait to fly this on xbox…
We’re very close to release on this. Finally.
Will anything be sorted with the temp gauges so they work realistically instead of popping straight up to operating temps?
This doesn’t seem to happen with anyone else but I’ll check.
If avionics is turned on before firing they go straight up the second the engine fires or as soon as avionics is turned on when engines started the temp gauges spring up to normal temps as soon as there turned on.
I’ve asked our testers to test for this.
However, so far, I’m not seeing this.
Is anyone else having this?
I’ll take a video seems strange my cylinder head temp pops straight up and oil climbs very rapidly, how does it behave for you? Do the temps steadily climb up?
for me, yes.
Have you hit up the support forums for this?
I just posted on the forums under the latest beta version. Can confirm the following:
-
The heading reference indicator bars do not move. The knob moves but the bars/gauge does not.
-
The mentioned CHT temps that “BenMapp” discusses are showing the same behavior. Instant spike/rise from cold/dark. Oil temps rise rapidly too but on a more steady basis.
