RELEASE NOTES 1.2.11.0 Discussion

There are quite a few game braking ones. And even if we look over the bugs the still missing features almost 2 months after release aren’t minor issues. None of these problems would have happened if they actually finished the game before releasing it.

To be fair Asobo could have said and did nothing in regards to this patch in order to avoid the habitual complaining. Instead it was addressed. The bigger issue is that everyone wants everything working perfectly in a game that literally virtualizes the planet. Last time I checked my newsfeed it seems the lucky of the world are in beta testing (at best) with decent portions of reality in Alpha (at worst). Life is messy, tough, hard, and miserable at times. Sorry this game is as imperfect as life. I could choose to see and complain about the negative in life, and the game, but instead I choose to see the beauty and elegance of them both. So from my perspective its as perfect as life and, like with life, worth experencing. Lastly, its hard to improve life via updates and patches, so thanks to Asobo for making improvements so our shared flight experience keeps getting better!

This is the new approach, release fixes when they are ready. There is no need to wait 2 months to collect a huge list of things before rolling them out.

This isnt about the right to complain…

This is about the effectiveness of constant complaining…

Everyone knows what they have to do at this point. But carry on

Well, they sure waited several weeks for this to be out… :man_shrugging:

In progres doesn’t answer anything. That could mean next year for all we know. Considering I got 10h of “gameplay” before actually getting in the game I did not have the option of a refund. And since when is it the consumers fault when the company fails catastrophicaly on their promises? God forbid that a company would be held accountable. As long as money is involved nothing else matters.

They released 3 patches before Christmas, and then had holidays. I think there’s an idea that they should work 24/7 for us, unfortunately that is illegal here in Europe.

They also knew they had to finish the game before release but it didn’t stop them from failing to do that did it.

You can’t release something so faulty and not expect people to be angry.

Maybe they should have finished and tested the game before release? Or at least been honest and told us it was not finished and is going to be a work in progress.

Don’t be so melodramatic, that’s not what’s about…

Lol …

You’re not going to be moved from your perspective… So you do you …

But the facts on the ground and the realities of the situation kind of speak for themselves. You have to do what makes you happy. If coming on the forums to blast your displeasure at anyone who will listen is your thing… ok the floor is yours

Enjoy the rest of your day …
Cheers

This isn’t Super Mario. This will never be “finished”, there will always be issues that people complain about. I have been here since the 2020 launch and I can assure you this has nowhere near the issues it had,

They had holidays, they didn’t “wait”.

I have been here like I said since 2020 launch and it pains me to see people assuming that Asobo guys don’t “care” about this product. Nothing, absolutely nothing could be further from the truth.

I meant in terms of features. Those that are still missing. There is a difference between some bugs and 600+ bugs.

You contrasted it with not getting steps forward which sounds like you feel it’s a regression.

Maybe read the room and you’ll see there are more people that are angry at what we got than happy. Being quiet and accepting has never solved anything for the better.

It was meant as fixes that don’t create new problems. Basically they fix 1 think and brake something that was working before. So there is no movement foreward since they have to go back and fix what they broke.

Hmmmm, I don’t think that’s what a step back means when contrasted with a step forwards….

A single bullet hotfix would have been totally acceptable had it been published a day or two after the prior hotfix which accidentally reintroduced a bug.

Waiting a month and only including one item which was a quick fix is very bad optics indeed.

Read the room.

They had to return the Airbus screens to the previous state. That in my evey is a step back since it was their fix that caused this.
