New Fauna Spotting game for VFR flyers.
This is an absolute game changer when it comes to fauna challenges in World Photographer mode. By default, the mode provides a heatmap of very limited use - the areas are huge, and there’s no way to see where you are on the heatmap once the flight begins. In terms of simulating realism, a wildlife photographer would have significantly more resources than this - and the Fauna Hunt addon seems to fill that gap nicely.
World Photographer challenges are still, in my opinion, challenging with this tool because it doesn’t just point you directly to the animal(s) you know you’re looking for, it just helps provide a guide towards animals in general - and in giant swaths of landscape, that is useful enough!
Been testing for a couple days and works like a charm. Tried first in Africa then California and today in Alaska. Very accurate range and bearing. Turns hunt into a game and am already addicted collecting poiints…

It is pretty challenging and I wonder if it always has the right animal in the quiz? I was staring at a moose yesterday but the moose was not an option in the quiz. Hard to miss as it had antlers (lots and big).

One of them should be the correct name as the software pulls the names from the sim directly and adds 3 more random ones. Not sure if it shows the correct animal though. Did you try them all until one was successful? It may just have a different name in the sim like caribou, Elk etc. which look similar. (I think) 
As we say, “close enough for government work”. The Aussi’s have a Heli event today and not being good at choppers I tested it out and there are a bunch of animals in the route in Italy. In farm fields there may be multiple types of animals so you get multiple different targets. I could see how the item selected as a particular target could be one of several valid alternatives… not sure there is a way around this… if this is all I see as a problem, there are no real problems.
