[Released] Aerosoft/Toliss A340

I’m surprised nobody started a thread about this yet in the Aircraft hub? This is big news for MSFS. As reported by FSElite:

Aerosoft and ToLiss Announce Partnership to Bring A340 to MSFS
In a groundbreaking announcement made on the FSElite stage during the FSExpo weekend, Aerosoft have announced they are partnering with well renowned third party developers ToLiss to bring the Airbus A340 into Microsoft Flight Simualtor.

By far and away the biggest story of the session though was the announcement of a groundbreaking new partnership with the much-lauded X-Plane developer ToLiss. Together, Aerosoft and ToLiss will work on bringing a feature-rich and accurate A340 simulation to MSFS. Aerosoft says they will be handling the modelling work on the addon, while ToLiss works on the systems. Given how ToLiss is already known in the X-Plane community for their deep systems functionality, this is a partnership which is bound to raise eyebrows among the community.

Having never used X-Plane, I wouldn’t know, but ToLiss is so well regarded that this project excites me a ton.

It seems Aerosoft is desperately trying to work away to get past the scandalous release of Aethelred, their unready A330 last year. The new CRJ updates seem to be generating rave reviews, (I wouldn’t know since I bought it on day 1 on 2020’s marketplace, and of course we seem to have to wait until the crack of doom until MSOBO and Aerosoft get it out on the marketplace)

Wouldn’t it be Awesome if they Get ToLiss to sort out the A330 as well?

Toliss said they spent 2 years making their code “platform independent.” If you ask me, Toliss is probably eyeing the bigger market for MSFS, and they are not happy with their sales in XP 12. Why else would they spend 2 years making their code “platform independent”? That’s a lot of work, and the only 2 players right now where they can realistically make money are MSFS and XP.

If the sales for the Aerosoft/Toliss A340 goes very well and Toliss makes a lot of money from it, I can totally see Toliss and Aerosoft collaborating on an A330, although it would probably be a new product, with a different pricing structure than the current Aerosoft A330.

In any case, it’s interesting that Toliss spent 2 years making their code platform independent. I think they saw the writing on the wall for XP, 2 years ago. I don’t blame them, the market for MSFS is so much bigger than XP, they can make more money with MSFS.

I didn’t know about Toliss working their code to be platform agnostic this, this is very good news.

I don’t have the Aerosoft A330, so if it happens the price is the price, hopefully they improve it for free for the probably very few people who bought it before it was known to be terrible

Yup, that’s why it’s very good news for MSFS. We could see more Toliss projects for MSFS in the future, if they make a nice profit on the A340 partnership with Aerosoft.

Yup. I saw a few live streams of it today. And here is the official trailer for it:

I really hope this sells well in MSFS. Because if it sells well, I can definitely see Toliss come back for more projects in MSFS.

Well, I’ll definitely buy this one. Day one. I’ve never used X-Plane but the reputation of ToLiss precedes them.

They don’t know about price or date yet.

Cool, I can stop looking for it  It can’t be far away if they’ve lifted the embargo on the preview copies, and I doubt it’ll be less than 75USD …

Yeah, unless the previewers find something major, I expect we’ll see it soon. This is a must buy for Airbus fans!

It’ has been released: Aerosoft Aircraft A340-600 Pro | Aerosoft US Shop

The price is supposed to be 70 Euro. However, I do see the price as $70 USD outside of Europe though? Maybe somebody else can confirm the USD price outside of Europe.

Hello,

hmmm they also have to put better and nice screenshots to their product, I see on more screenshots Airbus aircraft without engines what I really don’t like, it is not good for release of new product on market…

I struggle with the simbrief import.

I put it my simbrief name in the settings, but when I click on OFP import, nothing happens.. do I miss something?

LMFO, this aircraft is not a native version for FS2024 …

Hi I have not yet purchased the product, just an idea, is it asking for simbrief username or your simbrief id. Number?
