Is there a way to customize the way the plane starts up using the cold and dark state? In particular, get it to start at gate with doors closed. There are a couple of cockpit switches too.
I think that’s not possible. Only selecting the presets. It doesn’t support a state saving, like let’s say PMDG airplanes. Maybe playing with some config file could do the trick though ![]()
Well, it makes me feel better that it was not something simple that I missed. Just purchased this plane so still figuring things out. It starts at the gate and the jetway is not attached yet and the passenger door is wide open. I can shut it easily enough but is odd.
I’ve started another flight with this aircraft now and here’s what I do to load it properly…
-
After energizing the aircraft, connected it to the GPU etc. and after the systems are initialized I go to MCDU and select MCDU MENU → ATSU → AOC MENU
-
There should be FLT INIT with asterix available, I click on the soft key to activate that. After some while I get messages on the bottom which I clear with multiple pushing of CLR button. Just make sure there’s no error message amongst them
-
In the EFB I go to Weight and Balance page and I check that the ZFW there matches the ZFW from my current OFP from Simbrief. Then I click on APPLY THESE LOAD VALUES in the bottom and that’s it, the aircraft is loaded.
The first update is out. I’m going to paste info about it from their Discord channel:
Hello A340-600 Captains,
first of all, we want to say a huge thank you to all of you! We truly appreciate the incredible amount of positive and constructive feedback, as well as the many great conversations we had with you in person during the Flightsim Weekend in Lelystad at the Aerosoft Flight booth. It means a lot to us and helps shape the future of this project.
Today marks the release of the first update of many to come. This is just the beginning of our ongoing improvements and refinements.

: Community recommendation
We are closely monitoring community contributions. While we are working on improving the cockpit lighting, one of you has been quick to respond. If you want a quick fix now, head to kdfw’s work on flightsim.to Aerosoft/Toliss A346 Light Mod - Aircraft Enhancements for MSFS | Flightsim.to and download his lighting mod! A big shout-out to KDFW — great work! We would also like to thank the painters who have already done a great job. Once the upcoming model update is released, we will release the official paint kit and we are looking forward to seeing those paints even more!
Wow, I think this is an MSFS first, the sunshades (on the side windows at least) create shade in the cockpit!
Yeah, in the past, the sun visors have been about as much use as the windscreen wipers!
Aerosoft needs to fix this bumpy behaviour of the aircraft. After landings or on taxiways it feels like riding over craters instead of smooth asphalt.
I don’t have this problem. Rock solid for me. Unless you’re talking about the G-Loaded camera effect which can be turned off in the EFB (A/C Config page).
Please add (I’m not sure if this is correct terminology) scroll widgets to the dials on the FD. For example, the Speed dial can only be scrolled with the middle mouse wheel. There are other Airbuses where you mouse over the Speed dial and get a scroll widget, and one click starts the speed scrolling up or down. Also, (this may be an SU5 issue), the tool tips currently block the readout while scrolling with the middle mouse wheel. This requires the user to scroll and scroll, then move the mouse away to see the value, then scroll and scroll some more. On other Airbuses the tool tip disappears while scrolling.
