[RELEASED] C510 Mustang | Cockspur

This is the way

Hello,
I managed to get everything working, except for the G1000.
What do you recommend for making it work?
Thank you.

eeeehm so what problems you still have with G1000? Hope you have read my post, so in case new problems describe them better. Pls understand, to describe problem like - my car isnā€™t working, what can I do? is really hard to answer

Iā€™m curious also, also I expect that developer of this product will visit this Topic again and report some news and important information about update of Mustang.

I am unable to zoom in or out on the MFD map.

Any ideas?

I am unable to zoom in or out on the MFD map.

Any advice?

Same with the PH100. This is just in 2024 and the dev doesnā€™t have any plans for updates so far.

Thatā€™s not good. I am not buying anything developed by Cockspur again. I will try to return this purchase too.

I agree!

A lot of promises at the beginning of this thread by the developer and then total silence after release, and excuses on discord as to why things arenā€™t addressed.

The sad thing is this airplane shows so much promise!

Some minor tweaks and it would be really good (i.e. acceleration added to the knobs, so you donā€™t have to take all day to dial a speed or altitude, etc.), but instead on discord a third party speaks for the developer and warns users of the developer getting upset by such and such criticism!

Hi OMICO, I dont have any helpful info but over the last Marketplace sale, I got the Phenom100 for like,ā€¦$8 canadian. Its nice flying. I also have the Carenado Mustang. Jet is the only way to enjoy long distant cross country flights!

Iā€™ve been testing the Citation Mustang in MSFS2024. I can zoom in and out with the MFD. I am using the ā€œRangeā€ knob on the pedestal below the throttles. I am not sure what youā€™re using to try to zoom in and outā€¦I assume that same knob but do not know for sure. Some people may use Knobsters or possibly some other method.

My install was to simply copy the mustang folder into MSFS2024ā€™s Community folder.

I am still on MSFS 2020. I tried the range knob next to the MFD like on any other G1000 but it didnā€™t work at all. It does show a menu to change the range but I am unable to change it while pressing the corresponding buttons on the Xbox controller. The range is stuck at an unusable 2.5 NM default.

I will try the button below the throttles as per your advice.

Many thanks for taking the time to write and to assist.

Regards.

I have the same problem with the phenom 100.
The range knob is shimmering blue when marked, so it has to be the right one. Nevertheless I canā€™t rotate it to adjust the zoom level.

There is a range knob on the right side of the PFD which zooms the inset map if visible. For the MFD use the range knob on the MFD Controller unit, below the throttle quadrant.

Use the range knob below the throttles, on the pedestal. See if that works for you.

I hear you, and I share your concerns about the developers, hoping they revisit the Citation Mustang. Theyā€™ve done a good job and it doesnā€™t need much. Just a tweak here and there.

One thing about the altitude knob, I found that using LEFT CTRL+PageUp or LEFT CTRL+PageDown allows me to cycle the altitude numbers a lot more quickly, without me having to use the mouse wheel (mouse wheel is sooooo aggravating).

The above seem to be default MSFS2024 key commands. You can check out your control settings under ā€œKeyboardā€ to see if you have those assigned. I think itā€™s something like ā€œIncrease Autopilot Altitudeā€ and ā€œDecrease Autopilot Altitudeā€ or something like that.

Cool thanks I will try that

Thank you for the advice. Iā€™m travelling at the moment. Will be able to try this out and report back after three weeks.

Many thanks.
