Thank you for creating this! This airport looks beautiful with great attention to details. I highly recommend this airport to anyone looking for a quality regional airport.
For some unknown reason, I flew into KBJI shortly after MSFS was released. I was dismayed at all the issues at this airport. First, there was a nearby private strip that was colocated at KBJI. This messed up runway assignments and communications. Eventually the landing strip was moved to its correct location. Second, the taxiways and apron were very uneven and deteriorated with each release. It got so bad that any aircraft would get stuck at many different spots including the runway exit taxiways. The surface was finally repaired a few releases ago.
Third, the jetways weren’t connected to the terminal building similar to other airports. This is fixed in your release.
One issue still remains. KBJI is a non-tower airport with a terminal building and one gate. As with all non-tower airports, all aircraft communications use the CTAF. Also, there is no “Ground Control”. This means there are no Ground Services for arriving and departing airliners unless built into the airliner’s EFB and pilots are responsible for their taxi instructions.
I don’t know how many non-tower airports with terminals like KBJI there are in MSFS. IRL I assume that airlines would use UNICOM (not implemented in MSFS) for gate operations.
