[released] FSReborn FSR500

There is a livery on .to with a lovely dark interior, seats, carpets, glareshield etc. It looks so much better than the white. You can copy the relevant files to give your favourite stock livery the same interior.

I loved what people are doing with the interiors so we are creating some mods now to change them, etc. so it is easier for all the customers.

The flight sim community is so full of great tallent.

Best,
R.

I agree. Lots of enthusiasm too. It’s good to see.

It’s a win win situation for everybody.

@SimbolFSReborn do you have an idea about my OnAir question ?

I am afraid i don’t use that addon Trim…

Since it’s OnAir which is dividing individual passenger weight for some reason (configured for airliners maybe?) I’d say it’s an OnAir issue.

Yeh, makes sense in general although not an issue with most complex addons either so why I was wondering. Not such a big issue unles you wanna extreme roleplay
That said, it is really a next gen wow addon, many should take example on this guy.

I stopped using OnAir a while ago, bit this is probably because the FSR500 doesn’t use the stock w&b page.

I recall other aircraft had the same issue.

FSEconomy does the same thing. At least one version of the client does anyway. It’s likely just their way of being flexible with different job types and the possibility that different aircraft will have different loading configurations. OnAir or FSE would have to have specific knowledge of the stations in the aircraft.cfg to match it up correctly. I’ve never used OnAir, but with FSE IIRC, you can readjust the weight distribution and as long as it’s the same as the job payload, I don’t recall there being any issues.

Just want to say how much I love flying IFR in this beautiful airplane. Just flew from Waco{TX) to Shreveport(LA) in low level overcast conditions. Clear as a bell at my cruise of 8000ft.

Flight went perfectly until the frrst leg of the RNAV appr. to runway 06 Shreveport regional. I had omitted to activate the appr. on the G1000nxi and so sailed past the waypoint heading NE. Had to think on my feet, get the plane back on course using HDG in the AP and then selecting the correct leg of the RNAV to activate (always mess that up and end up circling around to a waypoint I have already passed)

Not this time though. Got her back on course and Got the AP to pick up the correct leg of the approach and lock on to the GS. Took over at 400ft from threshold and executed a perfect landing straight down the centreline with 30 deg crosswind of 9kts from the left. Checklists displayed on ā€œAll-in-oneā€ followed to the letter at all phases. Navigraph approach charts on the MFD and Airport layout chart on the EFB so I even knew what exit to take to GA parking (never do that!)

Just a joy to put together a perfect (almost doh!) flight in IMC in a plane that did exactly as it was told like the perfect mate.

Thanks FSReborn for a great product. and thanks to me for being such a great sim pilot (ahem)

Oh and forgot to mention, all in glorious 3d in my new and lovely Quest 3.

Love it…the passion that went into this aircraft shows!

Thanks for the quick update. It now runs much smoother!

And the added co-pilot/passenger was a nice surprise =)

I spent the better part of the day in SPAD mapping controls to my Alpha/Bravo. One of my criteria for a ā€˜job well done’ with any plane I acquire is how well I can figure out what variables do what. This one went pretty smoothly, especially for a plane that has a fair number of controls. Kudos, Raul.

I did have a pretty weird experience though. When I first hopped in the plane at my reference home base of KSEZ (before doing the update) I was seeing around 50 FPS/ 18 ms latency. Compared to the 90 FPS/12 ms I see in my Bonanza on the ground at that airport, that seemed a little low. Not a problem, as I know more complex planes tend to use more computer resources. After the update, however, I got back in the plane and was seeing 25 FPS/26 ms. Not good. But then I restarted the sim, got back in the saddle, and since then have seen 60 FPS/15 ms. Perfectly fine.

I took off on a first uncontrolled VFR flight. Everything worked very well, and the plane is smooth and responsive on the ground and in the air. I still need to figure out how to map Beta thrust, the reverser, and how to get the WX radar turned on (it’s all greyed out.) Also, how to get rid of that horribly annoying co-pilot avatar. I’m going to download the manual after I post this, then plan to start working on those things.

I had a CTD, but I don’t blame the plane. I’ve been having a few random crashes since the most recent sim update - this time I was messing around with dev mode options. The sim crashed after turning off volumetric atmosphere, and turning it back on. Like I said, I think the recent sim update is much less stable. I’ve almost never had CTD’s before, and since the SU13 update, have had a few too many, no matter what plane I’m flying.

I decided to get a Navigraph subscription. I’ll be using the FSR500 to start learning IFR. Once I get more comfortable with the plane, I’ll start turning on wear and failure features so I can really explore the joy and pain of ownership.

DO WANT!
Can’t afford…
Maybe some day.

LOL

I found that out as I was working on binding the start switch.

ā€œCLEAR PROP!ā€

What the heck? Where am I? More importantly…how do I get back into the cockpit before the engine explodes?

That thing is really nice for sure but seriously is it really worth that much. I can afford it but can’t convince myself it’s good value at that price. I’m having trouble mulling over the purchase of a regular TQ6+ let alone the Neo.

I love my TQ6, haven’t had an issue with it and I’ve had it for years. The detent on it is great and I’ve had zero issues getting that detent to work for reversers, prop feather and fuel cutoff on every plane I’ve tried it with.

Since @hobanagerik posted that I’ve been lusting. Still if I were to get that, plus 2 RSG G1000 panels and a Brunner yokes and pedals set I recon my wallet would be Ā£6000 lighter. Ermm…maybe not!

Please remove the co-pilot being there by default. I was so happy to see the co-pilot weight was set to empty when I first bought and loaded this. Now after the update it is 170 by default just like every other Marketplace bought addon. Is it something Asobo insists on?

Why give us the option to add passengers in the EFB but not the co-pilot?? Please remove them and let us choose whether or not to add when we start a flight.
